Abstract: This paper makes a deep research and scientific analysis on the overall spatial layout of Taiyuan new botanical garden based on the theory of modern urban garden ecological leisure and health culture construction, such as design concept, planning positioning, functional zoning, expanding application, etc. It is concluded that the space layout of Taiyuan Botanical Garden not only meets the functional indexes of traditional botanical garden, but also extends the functions of ecological leisure and cultural products.This paper puts forward the follow-up development suggestions of using the terrain characteristics to optimize the ecological structure, adhering to the local characteristics to improve the cultural taste, highlighting the leisure characteristics to expand the sense of health.
