Abstract: The new variety Qianxiangyou 7954, successfully bred by the Neijiang Agricultural Science Institute, was approved by the Sichuan Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2023 with the approval number of Sichuan Crop Variety Approval Committee20233007. It is one of the first batch of brewing rice varieties approved by Sichuan Province. This paper provided a detailed introduction to Qianxiangyou 7954, including its breeding process, variety characteristics, and key points of planting technology for reference by peers and farmers.
