Abstract: In this paper, two kinds of organic substrates, oak leaves and coconut bran, were used to replace part of peat. The seedling raising experiments of cucumber were carried out with different proportions of organic substrates. The physical and chemical properties of substrates and the changes of plant growth were recorded. The results showed that the ratio of oak leaves, coconut bran, peat,vermiculite and perlite was 1:1:2:1:1, it is most conducive to the growth of cucumber seedlings.
