Abstract: Statistical analysis of sandstorm data in Bayanhot from 1953 to 2018 shows that the extreme sandstorm weather in Bayanhot presents a downward trend. The circulation situation of extreme dust weather can be divided into two types: cold front type, Mongolia cyclone and cold front mixed type. The quantitative forecast indexes of extreme dust weather are summarized from the aspects of climate background, circulation characteristics, stratification conditions, thermal conditions and humidity conditions.
