Abstract: Zhumadian is located in the transition zone from subtropical to warm temperate zone, during the overwintering period from December last year to February next year, cucumber is easy to be affected by such disastrous weather as low temperature, poor sunshine, strong wind, cold wave and heavy snow. Over the years, the project team has conducted in-depth research and experiments on the introduction of new varieties, construction of sheds, management of sheds, prevention of disastrous weather, and integrated control of diseases and pests, and carried out multi-point promotion and application, it overcame the adverse effect of disastrous weather on cucumber production and solved the problem of standardization cultivation technology in solar greenhouse.
