Abstract: In order to improve the monitoring and early warning ability of crop diseases and pests under organic dry farming conditions in Shanxi Province, a monitoring and early warning system covering 41 kinds of diseases and insects of 7 kinds（categories） of main crops in Shanxi Province was developed. Based on the Internet of Things and cloud computing technology, the system has the functions of disease and insect monitoring data collection, management, statistics, graphical analysis and information collection of the Internet of Things. It has been promoted and applied in 11 cities and 35 disease and insect monitoring stations in Shanxi Province, and has played a positive role in ensuring the development of organic dry agriculture in Shanxi Province.
