Abstract: Based on 574 survey data of field crop production area in Hetao Irrigation Area, the influence of household characteristics on the adoption of water-saving irrigation technology was studied. The results showed that the influence of annual net income and planting land area on the adoption of water-saving irrigation technology is very significant, followed by the influence of irrigation method, planting method and satisfaction with the existing irrigation method, irrigation cost has little influence on the adoption of water-saving irrigation technology, and the proportion of planting income, family members’ educational background and planting crop type have little influence on the adoption of water-saving irrigation technology.
