Abstract: In recent years, Bijie City has achieved certain results in the research and development and production of agricultural mechanization in mountainous areas, but compared with other areas in China, there are still problems such as low comprehensive agricultural mechanization rate, unbalanced development structure of agricultural machinery, weak manufacturing capacity of agricultural machinery, and insufficient integration of agricultural machinery and agriculture. In order to promote the rapid development of agricultural mechanization in the mountainous area of Bijie city, based on the introduction of the development status of agricultural mechanization in the mountainous area of Bijie City, the problems existed in the development of agricultural mechanization in the mountainous area of Bijie City were analyzed, and the corresponding development path of agricultural mechanization was proposed,which could provide reference for the development of agricultural mechanization in Guizhou province and other areas.
