Abstract: The Hotan area is rich in light and heat resources, various types of biological resources, and large areas of unused land and deserts, which provide sufficient environmental conditions and space for the development of the sand industry. Taking Cistanche deserticola industry as an example, this paper comprehensively analyzes the current situation and existing problems of Cistanche deserticola industry from three aspects of economic benefits, ecological benefits and other product benefits, and discusses the countermeasures, so as to lay a theoretical foundation for strengthening the sand industry in Hotan area.
