Abstract: At present, it has become an important issue for the township government to strengthen social management and further improve the modern rural social governance system through the co governance of multiple subjects. Based on the rural revitalization work in the new era, this paper analyzes the problems encountered in rural governance, such as the leadership of township guidance function and the intervention of villagers’ autonomy. Combined with the new requirements of current social governance, this paper puts forward some suggestions to optimize the rural governance system, such as adhering to the "combination of autonomy, rule of law and rule of virtue" governance mechanism, clarifying the governance orientation of township government, and improving the ability of rural autonomy.
