Abstract: Based on the observation data and disaster data of 14 national meteorological stations in Chifeng City, the characteristics of snow disaster in Chifeng City in recent 60 years are analyzed. The results show that the snow disaster in Chifeng City is mainly caused by blizzard or snowstorm. The first snow in Chifeng City mostly occurs from September to October, and the earliest snowstorm day is in the first ten days of September; The final snow mostly occurs from April to May of the next year, and the latest Blizzard day is in early May. The number of blizzard days in Chifeng City shows the characteristics of decreasing from southwest to northeast as a whole. The large value center of blizzard days is located in the south of Chifeng City. The snowstorm disaster is mainly concentrated in the southeast of Chifeng City, and the snowstorm disaster is mostly concentrated in the west of Chifeng City.
