Abstract: Since the 1970, the variety replacement of corn in China has experienced 4-5 rounds, and the new varieties have contributed nearly 50% to the yield. New maize varieties with good density tolerance, lodging resistance and mechanization are urgently needed in production, so it is very important to select excellent germplasm resources（new maize varieties have the advantages of stable yield, high yield, distinct agronomic characteristics, good comprehensive resistance and fast dehydration）. In this paper, the breeding technology of maize variety Liaowo 98K was studied, and the comprehensive evaluation was carried out. It was found that the variety had stable yield and high yield, good lodging resistance, comprehensive resistance and good quality.
