Abstract: Citrus has high nutritional value, large market demand, wide uses, high and stable yield and high economic benefits. It plays an important role in increasing farmers’ income and promoting rural economic development, it has become the fruit tree with the largest cultivation area in Guangxi. With the continuous adjustment of planting structure, citrus industry in Guangxi has become a characteristic, advantageous and leading industry to drive farmers out of poverty, get rich and increase income, which provides an important guarantee for the revitalization and development of rural areas. Taking Guangxi as an example, this paper summarizes the development status of citrus industry in Guangxi, analyzes the problems existing in the development of citrus industry in Guangxi, and discusses the optimization countermeasures for the development of citrus industry.
