Abstract: Jiaocheng County of Shanxi Province is the key county of beef cattle breeding in Yanmenguan ecological animal husbandry economic zone of Shanxi Province. Since the 1970s, the improvement of cattle varieties has been continuously promoted, and the level of cattle breeding has been effectively improved. On the basis of introducing the work history and present situation of cattle improvement in Jiaocheng County, the problems existing in cattle improvement are analyzed, and the corresponding countermeasures are put forward.
