Abstract:
Zhengda 719, the main maize cultivar in Fengshan County, was selected as the experimental object to study the effect of different planting row spacing and planting density on maize yield. The experimental results showed that the plant height, ear height, thousand grain weight and yield of maize were consistent with the increase of row spacing when the density was the same. When the row spacing was 60 and 70 cm, the maize yield increased first and then decreased with the increase of density. When the row spacing was 80 cm, the maize yield increased with the increase of density. In summary, Zhengda 719 maize yield was the highest when the row spacing was 80 cm and the density was 90 000 plants/hm~2, which could provide a reference for determining the appropriate row spacing density of summer maize.
