Research Progress on Bioactivity of Tea Polyphenols

  • Tea polyphenol is the most important active component in tea, which is the general name of polyphenol hydroxyl compounds.Tea polyphenols(TP) have become the research hotspot of natural products due to their antioxidant, lipid-lowering, liver protecting,anti-tumor, antibacterial and other biological activities, and are widely used in food and medicine fields. In this paper, the biological activity of tea polyphenols and its application were reviewed.
