Abstract: The development of agricultural mechanization is crucial to the promotion of agricultural modernization. Although China′s agricultural mechanization has been fully developed in the whole process and in all aspects, there are still significant differences between different regions. The special geographical environment of the hilly and mountainous areas has led to a weak foundation and slow development of agricultural mechanization, which greatly limits the improvement of the overall level of agricultural mechanization in China. The outstanding problems that exist in the transformation and upgrading of agricultural mechanization in the hilly and mountainous areas of China are systematically. On this basis, it is suggested to give priority to the transformation of farmland suitable for mechanization with a high degree of integration of agricultural machinery and agronomy. Focus on the research and development of full mechanized equipment for the whole production process of characteristic economic crops, explore integrated intelligent management and control systems for crop production, and streng-then the cultivation of participants in the production process and policy support. It not only helps to solve the problems of agricultural mechanization development, and makes up for the shortcomings of agricultural mechanization in hilly and mountainous areas, but also improves the level of agricultural productivity in hilly and mountainous areas. At the same time, it can also give full play to the positive role of agricultural mechanization in achieving common prosperity, promote the full implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, and promote the sustainable and modernized development of China′s agriculture.
