Abstract: In this study, the wild ornamental plant resources in Longji region of Guangxi were systematically investigated by field investigation and literature review.The results showed that there were a total of 177 species of ornamental plants belonging to 93 families and 152 genera, including 19 species of ferns from 16 genera and 13 families, 3 species of gymnosperm from 3 genera and 3 families, and 155 species of angiosperms, 133 genera and 77 families.Ornamental plants could be divided into 4 categories including flowering plants, plants with ornamental fruits, foliage plants and morphological ornamental plants according to their morphological characteristics and ornamental parts.
