Abstract: In this study, the Potentilla rupestris seeds were selected as materials to investigate the response of temperature, light and water stress to seed germination.The aim of this study was to determine the response degree of seed germination-related characteristics to environmental factors.The results showed that the optimal germination temperature for P. rupestris seeds was 20 ℃,and the seed germination preferred long time light.Also, the P. rupestris seeds had a certain degree of drought resistance.In conclusion, The germinating characteristics of P. rupestris seeds made it suitable for vegetation restoration in gravel slope and arid and semi-arid area.
