Abstract:
In this paper, the effects of sodium salt(NaHCO
3 and NaCl with NaHCO
3) stress on seed germination of Festuca sinensis were studied, and the salt-and alkali-tolerance of F. Sinensis seeds were investigated. The results showed that the germination rate, germination potential, germination index and vigor index of F. Sinensis seeds increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of sodium concentration. Salt tolerance index was promoted at low concentration while it inhibited at high concentration. The radicle length and embryo length were inhibited and showed a decreasing trend. In addition, under the condition of the same sodium concentration, NaHCO
3 solution had stronger inhibitory effect on seed germination. Further, using seed germination rate as the suitable concentration index of sodium salt stress to made linear regression, the semi-lethal concentration of F. Sinensis seeds under NaHCO
3 solution and NaCl with NaHCO
3 mixed solution stress were 57.09 mmol·L
-1 and 90.64 mmol·L
-1, respectively.
