Abstract: In this paper, 8 varieties of Eustoma grandiflorum for cut-flower were introduced to Guiyang area for cultivation experiments. The phenological period and characteristics of E. grandiflorum among different varieties were observed by controlling the growth environment of protected cultivation, and the local introduction effect of E. grandiflorum was also studied, which contributed to screening suitable varieties for cultivation in Guizhou. The results showed that E. grandiflorum could grow normally under the condition of protected culture in Guizhou. The comprehensive evaluation of plant height, stem diameter, number of flowers per plant, leaf logarithm, flower diameter and number of days in bottle by using principal component analysis was ranked as white Yousheng＞green Jingyan＞champagne Leina＞pink Luxita 3＞Luxita 2 with purple edge＞light purple Keluoma＞red Meirenzui 3. In conclusion, white Yousheng, green Jingyan and champagne Leina were suitable for the introduction and cultivation in Guiyang. Other varieties also had their own advantages, which could be selected appropriately when introduced in Guizhou to enrich the market.
