Abstract:
To better understand the spread mechanism of M. boisiana, the environmental factors of the seed germination were studied in this experiment. The effects of different factors including seed coat cutting, light, temperature, drought and allelopathy on seed germination of M. boisiana were compared with the M. boisiana seeds collected from the field. The results showed that seed coat cutting could significantly promote the germination of M. boisiana seeds while the light did not change the germination rate of seeds but affected the length of roots and buds after seed germination. And, the seed germination rate reached the highest at 28 ℃,and decreased with the increase of temperature. The simulated drought stress with PEG-6000 solution significantly reduced seed germination rate, and the high concentration of the leaf extract hindered the germination of the seeds of M. boisiana.
