Abstract:
In this study, the seeds of Glehnia littoralis from five different provenances in Shandong and Liaoning were used as experimental materials to determine area, length, width, 1000-grain weight and germination rate of G. littoralis fruits and seeds and the germination rate and other indexes at different temperatures, and explore the phenotypic characteristics of different G. littoralis provenances and germination characteristics at different temperatures. The results showed that the fruit and seed area and quality of G. littoralis from high latitude provenances were smaller than those from low latitude provenances. In addition, correlation analysis showed that latitude was significantly negatively correlated with the 1000-seed weight of fruits and seeds of G. littoralis(p<0.05). The suitable germination temperature range of G. littoralis from different provenances was 20-25℃, and the germination rate was positively correlated with latitude(p<0.05). The germination rate of the provenances of wild G. littoralis was higher in Lover’s Island and Huludao Golden Pebble Beach of Liaoning province.
