Abstract:
In this study, the effects of different priming treatments on seed vigor and seedling physiological characteristics of aging beet were studied using natural aging beet variety Fasi 1 as experimental material. The results showed that all treatments improved the vigor and physiological indexes of aging seeds to different degrees compared with the control. Among them, the pure water soaking for 12 h, 1.0% chitosan, 250 mg·L

3 were significantly higher than those of other treatments, amylase activity and soluble protein content were significantly increased, and reactive oxygen species content and lipid membrane peroxidation of seedlings were significantly decreased(p<0.05).These results indicated that priming could not only improve the vigor and germination-related enzyme activities of aging beet seeds, but also reduce the damage degree of cell membrane of aging seeds, which was beneficial to the subsequent growth and development of seedlings.
