Abstract: This paper refers to GB/T 3543-1995 rules for the inspection of Atropa belladonn seeds, The results showed that the sample were at least 3 g seeds, the quantity of samples to be tested shall not be less than 30 g; passed 20 mesh sieve for purity analysis; the thousand seed weight was applied for 100-seed method; the moisture of Atropa belladonn seeds was determined by intact seeds dried at high temperature of（130±2）℃ for 2 h; the vitality was determined after peeling off the embryos in 0.3% TTC（triphenyltetrazolium chloride） solution at 30 ℃ in dark for 3 h; germination rate test was carried out in dark on double-layer filter paper at 30 ℃ or 20 ℃/30 ℃.
