Abstract: Heterosis is a common phenomenon in biology, and it is a great achievement of modern agricultural science and technology to use heterosis to greatly improve crop yield. Wheat is an important food crop and the only one which has not realized utilizing heterosis in a large area. Therefore, it is of great significance to promote the research of wheat heterosis utilization technology to guarantee national food security. This paper reviewed the performance of wheat heterosis, discussed the ways of utilizing wheat heterosis, the research progress and the achievements of this paper, and also discussed the problems and countermeasures in the research and application of hybrid wheat.
