Abstract:
The effect of different treatments on seed germination of Elaeagnus angustifolia L. were studied from three aspects of culture temperature, heat shock treatment and gibberellin(GA
3). The results showed that influence of culture temperature was extremely significant on seed germination, of which germination rate of seeds was the highest under 20 ℃ and germination potential was the highest under 25 ℃. Under low temperature, seed germination peak was delayed and the germination cycle was long, seed germination peak was advanced and the germination cycle was shortened under high temperature, but the germination rate was low.In response to the heat shock, germination rate of seeds at 30 ℃ was the highest, germination potential at 50 ℃ was the highest, The radicle development was best at 60 ℃ and 70 ℃.The interaction between GA
3 concentration and time significantly affected seed germination. After soaking in 50 mg/L GA
3 for 2 days, seed germination effect was the best, with germination rate of 83.20% and germination potential of 69.40%. Under soaking in 50 mg/L GA
3 for 3 days, root length was the longest.Study showed that under the condition of 25 ℃, seeds were treated with 50 mg/L GA
3 for 2 days or 30-50 ℃ heat shock, which could promote the rapid germination of seeds.
