Abstract:
A mixed saline-alkali solution(Na
2CO
3∶NaHCO
3∶NaCl∶Na
2SO
4=3∶57∶25∶15) was configured to simulate the soil environment in Daqing area, with four concentrations of 100 mmol/L, 200 mmol/L, 250 mmol/L and 260 mmol/L as treatments for 42 melon varieties. The effect of salt-alkali stress on seed germination rate, germination damage rate, germination potential, germination index and other indicators were studied. The comprehensive evaluation and analysis of salt-alkali tolerance of the tested melon varieties were carried out. The results showed that the test varieties had a germination turning point in the 250 mmol/L mixed saline-alkali solution. According to the function analysis, Sweet Rumi, Lazy Melon King, and Gagatian were the salt-tolerant varieties; Sweet and Crispy Flower Peel(Sweet Melon), Top mark, MS-5 were a salt-alkali-sensitive melon varieties.
