Abstract: In accordance with the relevant regulations of the International Union for the Protection of New Variety of Plant and the guidelines for the testing of specificity, consistency and stability of new variety of plant in China, the planting experiment for years in many sites was conducted by using 164 Astragalus sinicus L. germplasm resources at home and abroad as materials, and finally 33 test traits were determined, including 30 required traits such as growth habit and flowering time and 3 selected traits such as overwintering ability,of which characters were used as DUS test characters of Astragalus sinicus L.. At the same time, the grading code and criterion of test character were specified. 23 varieties were selected as the standard varieties of the test guide, and finally the DUS test guide of the new varieties of Astragalus sinicus L. was formed.
