Abstract:
The diversity of 8 fruit characters was analyzed by taking 24 different populations of wild type Gardenia jasminoides resources as the study object. The results showed that the variation coefficients of 8 numerical characters in 24 mountain gardenia resources ranged from 9.14% to 47.33%, among which the variation coefficient of 100-grain weight was the largest. In the correlation analysis, the longitudinal diameter of fruit was positively correlated with the transverse diameter of fruit, fruit shape index and 100-kernel weight, the transverse diameter of fruit was positively correlated with 100-kernel weight, 100-kernel weight was positively correlated with the yield of fruit, and the drying rate of kernel was positively correlated with the oil yield. Cluster analysis: when the square Euclidean distance was 5, the 24 Gardenia jasminoides resources could be divided into 5 categories. The first group was composed of Sanquan Town, Nanchuan District, Chongqing, with the highest average comprehensive score of 5.95 and this group had the most outstanding performance in all aspects. The results of principal component analysis showed that three principal components were extracted from the eight traits, with a cumulative contribution rate of 77.805%, which explained most of the information of the eight traits, which could be used for subsequent Gardenia jasminoides good seed breeding.
