Abstract:
In order to enrich the germplasm resources of red onion in Hexi area of Gansu Province, the correlation, principal component and cluster analysis of 11 main agronomic traits of 14 red onion germplasm resources were carried out. The results showed that the variation coefficients of 11 agronomic traits ranged from 3.20% to 65.88%, of which the variation coefficients of 7 agronomic traits were greater than 10% and the types of red onion germplasm resources were rich and diverse. Correlation analysis showed that the single weight of onion bulbs was positively correlated with the longitudinal and transverse diameters of the bulbs. The results of principal component analysis showed that the 11 main agronomic traits of onion could be classified into 3 principal components: plant type, yield and bulb appearance, and the cumulative contribution rate to the total variation reached 85.19%; Cluster analysis showed that the 14 red onion germplasms were divided into 3 groups when genetic distance was 5, among which 6 germplasms of the second group could be used for further screening and utilization.
