Abstract:
The seeds of Uncaria rhynchophylla in Dongnan Prefecture of Guizhou Province were taken as materials and the seed quality was tested according to the method of GB/T 3543-1995 ’Crop Seed Inspection Regulations’. The results showed that the seed quality inspection methods were as follows: the minimum amount of clarity analysis was 0.1 g, the samples submitted for inspection were no less than 1g, the appearance and shape of the seeds were compared, the 1 000-grain weight was determined by 500-grain method, the water content was determined by the high constant temperature drying method(133±2)℃ for 3 hours, and the viability was determined by the relative conductivity method. The germination test was carried out under 25 ℃, 2 000 lx light intensity and 12 hours light with sand bed as the germination bed. The counting time of germination test was from 9 to 23 days.
