Abstract:
In order to screen out the varieties of grafted rootstocks suitable for cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.) wilt resistance in Hainan winter and spring, the resistance of cucumber wilt resistance of 21 kinds of rootstocks collected was identified. Using the susceptible rootstock germplasm ’Quanfutailang’ as the control, the cucumber with Fusarium oxysporum was inoculated artificially to identify the cucumber wilt resistance of each rootstock. The resistance of different rootstocks to cucumber wilt was comprehensively evaluated by measuring the incidence, disease index, root activity, relative chlorophyll content, relative electrical conductivity, malondialdehyde content and other physiological indexes, combined with the newly introduced area under the index curve of disease severity(AUDRC). The results showed that the resistance of different rootstocks to cucumber wilt was different. The evaluation indexes of disease index showed that ’Shuangli Tiejia’, ’Jinjiazhen’ and ’Chuangfan No.1’ were resistant rootstocks, and ’Jinjiazhen’ had the best AUDRC index. Among the physiological indexes, the best performance of root activity was ’Shuanglitiejia’, ’Jinjiazhen’ and ’Chuangfan No.1’, The varieties with higher chlorophyll content were ’Jinjiazhen’, ’Chuangfan No.1’ and ’Japanese Dongzhizhu’, which were significantly higher than the control group. Low relative conductivity for ’Qinggenzhen King’ ’Chuangfan No.1’, The lower content of malondialdehyde was ’Shuanglitiejia’, ’Jinjiazhen’ and ’Chuangfan 301’, which was significantly lower than other rootstocks. According to the physiological indexes such as disease index, root activity, SPAD, REC, MDA, etc., ’Shuanglitiejia’, ’Jinjiazhen’ and ’Chuangfan No.1’ were resistant rootstocks. Further combined with AUDRC, the research showed that ’Jinjiazhen’ was the best rootstock for comprehensive resistance to cucumber wilt among 21 rootstocks.
