Abstract:
To investigate the effects of different plant growth regulators on the seed germination and seedling growth of Wen 185 walnut, the shelled seeds and hulled seeds after pretreatment of walnut were used as test materials. Five concentration gradients of 50, 150, 250, 350,450 mg/L were set for gibberellin(GA
3) and naphthalene acetic acid(NAA), respectively. The germination rate, sprouting rate, rotten seed rate and seedling growth indicators were analyzed. The results showed that the effect of seed shelling on seed germination and seedling growth index was better than that of seed with shell; Compared with the control, both GA
3 and NAA treatments could significantly improve the germination rate and sprouting rate of seeds. When GA
3 350 mg/L was applied to the seed, the germination rate and sprouting rate reached 86.03% and 93.06%, the seedling height was 21.55 cm, the number of leaves was 17.40, and the number of axillary buds was 3.1; When the seeds were treated with NAA 350 mg/L, the main root length and fibrous root length of the seedlings were 10.2 cm and 22.4 at most. Studies showed that after soaking with exogenous plant hormones, dehulling treatment could effectively improve the germination of walnut seeds, and could promote the growth of various indicators of seedlings. Appropriate concentration of GA
3 treatment was beneficial to the germination of hulled seeds and the aboveground growth of seedlings, while NAA treatment was relatively beneficial to promote the growth of underground roots.
