Abstract:
Four kinds of salt(NaCl, Na
2SO
4, NaHCO
3 and Na
2CO
3) were mixed into 6 salt and alkali solutions with different concentrations according to the molar ratio of 1∶9∶9∶1. The effects of different salt and alkali concentrations on seed germination and sprout growth of 9 tomato materials were studied, and the ability of saline-alkali resistance was evaluated comprehensively at seed germination stage by principal component analysis and membership function method. The results showed that the seed germination potential, germination rate, germ length, radicle length and vigor index of all tomato materials decreased gradually with the increase of salt and alkali stress concentration, but the decreasing amplitude of different materials was different. The salt and alkali concentration of 35 mmol/L could reflect the difference of salt and alkali tolerance among tomato materials. The salt and alkali tolerance of 9 tomatoes was Xinyan 3>Xinyan 6>Xinyan 9>Xinyan 4>Xinyan 7>Xinyan 5>Xinyan 2>Xinyan 8>Xinyan 1.
