Comprehensive Evaluation of Millet of Regional Test by Grey Relational Degree Analysis and DTOPSIS Method

  • Eleven millet varieties(lines) were used as materials, and nine agronomic traits related to yield were comprehensively evaluated by the method of correlation analysis and grey correlation degree analysis. The results showed that there were significant differences in the 10 agronomic traits of millet cultivars, and the coefficient of variation was 2.00%-9.16%. Weight per panicle, grain weight per panicle and 1 000-grain weight were significantly positively correlated with yield, while plant height was significantly negatively correlated with yield. The effects of nine agronomic traits on millet yield were grain weight per ear, 1 000-grain weight per ear, single ear weight, grain yield, ear diameter, growth period, ear length, plant height and rice yield. These results indicated that high yield breeding of millet should pay more attention to the utilization of germplasm resources with excellent grain weight per ear, 1 000-grain weight per ear and single ear weight. The comprehensive evaluation of DTOPSIS showed that the ranking of the top three millet cultivars was consistent with the ranking of the top three in yield, and the evaluation results were consistent with the results of the district test, indicating that DTOPSIS could be used for the comprehensive evaluation of new varieties of millet.
