Comparison of Drought Resistance of Six Oat Varieties During Seed Germination

  • To investigate drought resistance of oats during germination, the seeds of six oat varieties were used as materials to determine the germination potential, germination rate, seedling vigor index, taproot length and seedling height under simulate drought conditions introduced by PEG solution with different concentrations(0, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%). And, the comprehensive evaluation was conducted by means of ANOVA, membership function analysis(MFA) and principal component analysis(PCA). The results showed that the drought resistance of six oat cultivars at germination stage was as follows Meida>Meili>Muwang>second generation of Beile>Lingxiu>Yanwang.
