Grey Correlation Analysis of Main Agronomic Traits and Yield of Early Maturity Maize Hybrid Variety

Grey correlation analysis was used to analyze the traits of 19 maize hybrid combinations. Results showed that the degree of association between various traits and yield was as follows plant height＞growth period＞the inverted folding rate＞head progeny row＞line of grain＞bald tip＞water content＞hundred kernel weight＞ear height＞lodging rate＞ear length＞seed yield＞spike thick. In the breeding work, we should pay attention to the selection of plant height, growth period and the inverted folding rate, and combined the comprehensive performance of the relationship between different characters to carry out the breeding, so that the yield of maize could be greatly increased.
