Grey Correlation Analysis and Comprehensive Evaluation of Alfalfa Introduced in the Yellow River Delta

  • The 21 alfalfa varieties were considered as the research objects, the production performance indexes including plant height, hay yield and nutrient components and nutritive indexes such as crude protein, crude fat and acid detergent fiber of different varieties were measured and analyzed, and the comprehensive evaluation was conducted by using grey correlation analysis. The results showed that there were significant differences in plant height and yield among alfalfa varieties at the first stubble(p<0.01). The highest annual yield of alfalfa was Zhongmu 5, followed by Zhongmu 3, Naiyanzhixing, WL 414, Saidi 7 and 3010. Based on the comprehensive consideration of production performance and nutritional value, Zhongmu 5, Zhongmu 3, Naiyanzhixing, 3010 and Zhongmu 4 had outstanding performance which could be the preferred varieties for local alfalfa grass cultivation.
