Construction of Breeding Technology System of Fine Millet Variety in Shanxi Province

Relying on the support of the national millet and sorghum industrial technology system, the standardized breeding of new millet varieties and standardized planting were ensured through the Three Nursery breeding technology system（single plant selection-plant row nursery selection-plant line nursery selection-original seed nursery propagation） in the main millet producing area of North Shanxi Province and through the scientific research plus company plus base plus farmers improved breeding mode operation. Meanwhile, the integration of technical support, production guarantee and grass-roots promotion was realized through the cooperative promotion mode of scientific research plus seed industry company plus agricultural material service department and further the technical system of millet fine varieties screening, breeding and promotion in Shanxi Province was improved. It has promoted the industrialization development of millet breeding in Shanxi Province, and played a positive role in the industrialization development of high quality coarse grain and the sustainable development of dry-farming agriculture in Shanxi Province.
