Analysis of Yielding Ability and Stability of Rice Varieties Tested in Jiangsu Province Based on GGE Biplot and AMMI Model

  • In this study, GGE biplot and AMMI model were used to analyze the yielding ability and stability of 12 tested rice varieties in the regional trial of mid-season hybrid japonica rice in Jiangsu Province in 2017.The results showed that genotype, environment and the interaction between genotype and environment had significant effects on the yield of hybrid japonica rice.Among all the tested varieties, the varieties Zazhongqu 03 and Zazhongqu 12 were widely suitable varieties with high and stable yield, and could be popularized in suitable areas of japonica rice. The test sites of Huaiyin Agricultural Science Research Institute in Xuhuai region of Jiangsu province were the most representative while the test sites of Jiangsu Huanteng Agriculture Co.,Ltd was strongest identifiable. In conclusion, the comprehensive application of AMMI model and GGE biplot could accurately and intuitively evaluate the yield, stability and adaptability of each variety, as well as the discrimination and representativeness of each plot.
