Non-destructive Detection of Quarantine Weed Seeds by X-μCT

  • In order to explore a new non-destructive detection technology of quarantine weed seeds, and established a new identification model of quarantine objects. In this research, the software of three-dimensional rapid reconstruction and visual modeling for X-rays micro computed tomography detection system were conducted, through data collection, image reconstruction and 3-D reconstruction, high-resolution internal tomography and whole 3-D imaging of seed samples of the quarantine weed were performed. The tomographic three-dimensional imaging and internal two-dimensional information of the Xanthium spp.(non-chinese species) samples were realized. X-μCT could provide technical service and support for non-destructive detection of quarantine weeds intercepted at ports.
