Abstract:
In order to explore a simple preparation method of superhydrophobic coating, stearic acid was used to hydrophobically modify nano-TiO
2, the hydrophobic nano-TiO
2 and water-based polyurethane(WPU) were used as the main raw materials, and anhydrous ethanol was used as the dispersant, and nano-TiO
2 superhydrophobic coating was prepared by two-step spraying method. The wettability test results showed that the contact angle of the coating was 153.5°, and the rolling angle was 4.7°. The coating was microscopically characterized by an infrared spectrometer(FT-IR) and scanning electron microscope(SEM). The results showed that stearic acid introduced low surface energy —CH
2 and —CH
3 groups on the surface of nano-TiO
2, and the coating surface had micro-nano binary rough structure. The research results showed that the coating preparation process was simple, had the good self-cleaning ability and superhydrophobic properties.
