Abstract:
In view of the sluice discharge capacity of the hub and the lack of suitable flow velocity for navigation, overflow and downstream anti-flooding, this paper conducted physical model tests for sluice dispatch of Xiangshan Hub to verify the sluice discharge capacity of the hub, analyzed the upstream and downstream flow characteristics of the hub under different flow rates and different scheduling modes, and proposed a reasonable and feasible sluice operation scheme to provide technical support for the later special scheduling test research. The test results show that the discharge capacity of the hub could meet the designed requirements when the 17-hole sluice gate is fully open. The single use of gate in Zone Ⅰ and Zone Ⅲ will cause the downstream river flow rate of the side to be too large, which is not conducive to navigation and flood prevention downstream, it is recommended that the joint operation of gate in Zone Ⅰ and Zone Ⅲ, which can meet many needs under different working conditions are plan 5, 7, 9 and 12. Reasonable gate scheduling scheme can not only reduce the erosion of water flow to the downstream river bed, reduce the influence of water flow on the navigation of the lock, but also reduce the number of gate opening, save the operating cost, and extend the life of the project.
