Basic Mechanical Properties of Finite Element PVA-ECC Materials

  • Engineered cement matrix composite is considered a two-phase composite composed of organic fibers and mortar. The random release and generation algorithm of 2 D linear fibers in the matrix is realized using Python programming, and then a thin view finite element model of PVA-ECC materials is developed. We consider the bond slip between the fiber and the matrix to simulate the mechanical properties of the ECC specimens in the pull and compression state. The results of the numerical analysis are compared with the test results. The properties and internal damage of PVA-ECC material were analyzed, and the stress properties and damage process of the pull and pressure state were studied. This paper provides reference for the finite element model of fiber concrete.
