Experimental Study on Flexural Performance of Ultra-high Strength Concrete PRC Pipe Pile

  • In order to analyze the influence of ultra-high strength concrete(C105) on the mechanical properties of prestressed concrete pipe piles, seven prestressed concrete pipe piles with non-prestressed reinforcement(PRC pipe piles) and one prestressed concrete pipe pile(PHC pipe pile) were designed and manufactured. The flexural performance experiments were carried out to analyze the influence of ultra-high strength concrete(C105) and unpressurised reinforcement configuration on the pipe pile. The test results show that both of them show bending failure. The flexural capacity of PRC pipe piles is obviously higher than that of PHC pipe piles, and increases with the increase of non-prestressed reinforcement ratio, with an increase of about 32%. The configuration of non-prestressed reinforcement has little effect on the cracking moment, but it makes the crack distribution of PRC pipe piles wider(average crack spacing is reduced by about 18%), deformation more sufficient and ductility improved.
