Abstract: The early high energy intake of calf has a positive effect on its health and future milk yield.However,when calf number increases,labor demand raises sharply.So it is difficult to achieve high energy intake for early calves through manual feeding.This article uses an automatic feeder to feed 200 calves on Foshan Ausoon Farm,and analyzes the operating results by 4 aspects:disease rate,mortality rate,daily weight gain,and milk production,with a view to optimize its calf feeding.
