Design of Orchard Monorail Transportation Equipment in Hilly Area

In order to solve the problem of large agricultural transportation volume, poor road condition and high labor intensity of human transportation, the monorail transportation equipment which was suitable for orchards in hilly and mountainous area was designed. This paper described the overall structure and working principle of the equipment in detail, and the design of important components such as driving device and power device is analyzed emphatically. The equipment is powered by the gasoline engine, which adopts a selfpropelled walking mode. The transportation equipment can carry about 350 kg of goods with a walking speed of about 0.7 m/s. It can also run on a steep slope monorail with a gradient of about 45°safely. This indicated that the monorail transport equipment could not only be used for transporting fruits, fertilizers and agricultural implements in hilly and mountainous orchards,but also be equipped with spraying operations or corresponding monitoring equipment.
