The Application Status and Prospect of Stereo Vision in Agriculture

  • Stereo vision technology has a wide range of applications in agricultural monitoring. Using binocular recognition technology to collect data on agricultural products and control the corresponding executive agencies can reduce production costs and increase the output of agricultural products. This article summarizes the current research status of stereo vision in agricultural monitoring at home and abroad, and discusses the principles of mature fruit and vegetable identification and positioning, crop growth monitoring, livestock growth and behavior monitoring, field insect monitoring, agricultural product classification, and unmanned agricultural machinery route planning. Combined with the problems encountered in the use of stereo vision technology, the future development of stereo vision technology is prospected.
