Analysis on Soil and Water Conservation Effects of Geo-authentic Chinese medicinal materials of Honeysuckle

  • In order to find out the germplasm resources of Geo-authentic Chinese medicinal materials with high-quality soil and water conservation characteristics on the Longdong Loess Plateau,to observe the biological characteristics and the soil and water conservation effects of honeysuckle trees in the Zhonggou watershed and the Zhifanggou Watershed of Pingliang.The result showed that the 4 years honeysuckle with a canopy density of 0.80,its branches and leaves interception rate is 27.9%~37.4%,with an average of 30.7%,and the water retention capacity of branches and leaves is 0.38~1.87 t/hm~2,with an average of 0.97 t/hm~2;Litter water holding rate is 169.8%~282.5%,an average of 215%,litter is 5.38~22.25 t/hm~2,water storage of litter is 12.2~39.2 t/hm~2;honeysuckle forest soil infiltration model is V1=18.599t-0.354 5 (r=0.997 4);The relationship between the root shear strength value-added (dT) and root diameter (Ap) of the honeysuckle woodland is:dT=0.006 04 + 0.385 94Ap (r=0.945 6);in the 0~80 cm soil layer,The soil bulk density of honeysuckle woodland is lower than that of non-forest land 7.3%~2.6%,but its porosity is higher 1.59%~7.84% and the soil water-stable aggregates increase by 21.27%;the organic matter,nitrogen and phosphorus content of honeysuckle forest land within 0~40 cm is obviousiy improved than that of non-forest land.Based on the above analysis and feasibility studies,the Geoherbs breeding and cultivation techniques are proposed from the perspectives of cutting seedlings,layering breeding,seedling afforestation,tending management and protection.
